Blythe was made by Kenner for only one year - 1972.
She was made in response to the big-eyed art bombarding the market; popularized by such artists as Keane, Maio, Eden,
& Gig. She had a huge head with saucer-shaped eyes, & a string with a pink ring attached for changing the color
& expression of her eyes. Her eyes changed to four different colors: pink, blue, orange, & green, and could
look either straight ahead, left or right. Surprisingly, at the time Blythe was made, she was not very popular. Today,
this vintage doll is highly collectable; sought out by doll collectors the world over.
